Become a member of ECCO Inc.
Joining ECCO is a critical step in your career in music. By joining ECCO you can begin to register your songs, collect performance royalties, and take advantage of many exclusive career benefits. There is a one-time, nominal processing/registration fee of EC$150 to apply for ECCO Writer/Composer membership and EC$450 for Publisher membership; there are no annual dues. This fee is non-refundable.

I am a writer.
To become an ECCO writer/composer member, you must have written or co-written a musical composition (a song) that has been
- Commercially recorded (CD, record, tape, MP3, etc.); or
- Performed publicly in any venue licenced by ECCO (club, live concert, symphonic concert or recital venue, college or university, etc.); or
- Performed in any audio-visual or electronic medium (film, television, radio, internet, cable, pay-per-view, etc.); or
- Published and available for sale or rental.
To become a writer/composer member, we require the following:
- A completed application form
- Completed "Notification of Works" forms giving information about works you wrote or co-wrote (e.g., title, name of the performer or artist, date it was released or performed, writer shares, etc.)
- Two passport-size photos
- ID Card
- MP3 copies of the songs being registered using the naming convention [Artist Name] _ [Name of Track]
- E.C. $150 one time, non-refundable, registration fee
I am a publisher.
To become an ECCO publisher member, you must:
- Let us know whether you are joining as an individually owned publishing company, a partnership or joint venture, or a corporation;
- Verify that your company is regularly engaged in the music publishing business and has assumed the financial risk involved in the normal publication of musical works, or that you publish works that are publicly performed regularly by ECCO’s licencees.
You must also confirm that one of the works in your publishing catalogue has been
- Commercially recorded (CD, record, tape, MP3, etc.); or
- Performed publicly in any venue licenced by ECCO (club, live concert, symphonic concert or recital venue, college or university, etc.); or
- Performed in any audio-visual or electronic medium (film, television, radio, internet, cable, pay-per-view, etc.); or
- Published and available for sale or rental.
To become a publisher member, we require the following:
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Publishing agreement with a songwriter(s)
- A completed application form
- Completed "Notification of Works" forms giving information about works your company represents (e.g., title, name of the performer or artist, date it was released or performed, writer shares, etc.)
- Two passport-size photos
- ID Card
- MP3 copies of the songs being registered using the naming convention [Artist Name] _ [Name of Track]
- E.C. $450 one time, non-refundable, registration fee
